"V" the series 30 years later....

It is hard to believe that it is going to be 30 years in a few days that "V" the Sci Fi mini series/series was on the air.It all started with the mini series in 1983. This is still my favorite series of all time. It probably always will be. I am to "V" as Treki's are to Star Trek. It is more the good trying to battle evil. It is about trying to figure out who you can trust. Lizard or human, the lines can be crossed! I have been very lucky when it comes to this series. I know that might sound weird. I have been lucky in the sense that I have been able to meet Kenneth Johnson. I got to spend a few hours with him when he was talking to a bunch of college students a few years ago. It was a great honor to meet the man who created such a piece of my childhood. This was one of the highlights of my life so far. I also got to meet Marc Singer. I met him when I was in college. I talked to him for only a few minutes, in of all places a mall. I wish I had a pen and paper. I didn't get his autograph. I got to meet Andrew Prine at all of places a fair. He was very nice and gave me his autograph. I found out that the red dust was made out of, of all things ground up carpet! I found that very interesting. The last member of the cast that I have been lucky enough to meet was the Supreme Commander himself Richard Herd. He was a very nice man. I got his autograph also. I have many books, that are about this series. I have a total of four "V" dolls. I even have one still in the box. It does have a ton of damage to it, but I still love it all the same. I have no clue why this show made such an impact on my childhood and even my life. All I know is that I am sure I will love it until I am well into my eighties! My dream is to meet as many cast members as I can. I hope you have enjoyed me talking about "V" that it makes you want to go rent a copy of the Final Battle, the mini series and the series.
